About Me

About Me

My name is Brandon Ellis, and I am a music composer, sound designer, and general audio person. I won a songwriting competition in the 3rd grade with a song programmed on my dad's Yamaha keyboard called "Melting Machine."

I went on to write songs about the temples of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. I produced a rap album heavily inspired by Star Fox and Super Mario 64. I wrote a sci-fi concept album with my friends about a space princess (who was also a sword?). And I wrote a deeply introspective piece about Chip's Challenge.

I graduated from Georgia State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Music Technology. Since that time, I've had the absolute pleasure of making music and sound effects for several game projects: an 8bit football game (Gridiron Heroes), a side-scrolling cartoon platformer about a LARP-er lost in time (Bard to the Future), the adventures of a submarine in space (Solstice Submarine), a first-person kitty destruction simulator (Catlateral Damage), a megaman-esque rogue-like (20XX), the sequal to that game (30XX), and a factory building game on a rogue planet (Techtonica).

I have several other projects in development and I'm always looking for more. Thanks for stopping by and deciding to learn more about me! Please feel free to reach out via this form or on any social media if you’d like to talk about a project.
